The majority of the university programs are available in Fall intake and it is the most popular intake for domestic and international students to study in various universities in the US. As some courses are only offered in Fall intake, if the deadline for admission is missed, students must wait for a whole year to get admission next year.
  • Spring Intake: Spring intake is another major intake for admission in the universities and colleges in the USA. While it is the second most popular intake, there are a limited number of courses and offerings. The course works are flexible and it is an opportunity to begin studies without having to wait longer until next fall. Typically, Spring Intake starts in the month of January or February in some places.
  • Summer Intake: Some universities also provide another popular intake in between Spring and Fall intake which is summer intake. This is usually in the month of April, May, or June (varies by university), and there is a chance of starting studies without wasting valuable months until Fall intake has approached. There are only a limited number of courses offered during these intakes.
  • Other intakes: Depending on university and course offerings, some mid-intakes such as October and November are also available in some universities. These are only available with a handful of institutions and courses.

After Study Opportunities in the USA for Nepalese Students

  • Optional Practical Training (OPT): After graduating from the US Universities and colleges, students are eligible to apply to OPT for up to 12 months.
